COBTH Statement on the Public Health Crisis of Systemic Racism

"Now is the time for listening, learning, and action. The Conference of Boston Teaching Hospitals is devastated by the recent murders of George Floyd, Breonna Taylor, Ahmaud Arbery, and countless other Black and brown residents of our city, state, and country. With more urgency than ever, we are committed working with our members to actively respond to the ongoing public health crisis of systemic racism; to achieving health equity in our academic medical centers – in the care we provide, in our research, and in our role as educators; and to working purposefully with our employees, our neighbors and communities, and our health care, education, public health, business, and government partners to eliminate the pervasive racial, social, and economic injustice that persists throughout our City, our Commonwealth and our nation. The future is ours to change."
